Dermapen 4 Microneedling in Culcheth, Warrington

At NC Natalia’s Skin Clinic, Dermapen 4 microneedling is personalised to your skin’s condition and the concerns you would like to improve. We combine treatment with Dermalux Tri-Wave MD LED phototherapy where suitable, supporting your skin through the recovery process.

Your journey begins with a Skin Consultation, including computerised skin analysis, a discussion of your goals and a review of your skincare and relevant health history.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled microscopic channels in the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural repair response and encourages collagen and elastin production.

As the skin repairs and remodels, treatment can improve the appearance of uneven texture, fine lines and selected scars. Improvements develop gradually rather than appearing immediately.

What makes Dermapen 4 different?

Dermapen 4 is a professional automated microneedling device with adjustable settings. These allow treatment to be adapted to different areas and concerns, rather than using the same approach across the whole face.

A fresh, sterile, single-use needle cartridge is used for each appointment.

Dermapen 4 provides mechanical microneedling. It does not deliver the radiofrequency energy used in RF microneedling treatments.

What happens during your appointment?

Your skin is assessed and prepared before the device is passed across the selected treatment areas. The settings are chosen according to your skin, the area being treated and your treatment goals.

You may feel a prickling or scratching sensation. Sensitivity varies between individuals and across different facial areas, and your comfort is monitored throughout.

Suitable finishing products and personalised aftercare advice complete your appointment.

Dermapen 4 with Dermalux Tri-Wave MD

We combine microneedling with Dermalux Tri-Wave MD LED phototherapy where appropriate for your skin and treatment plan.

This non-invasive light treatment uses selected wavelengths to support skin recovery and help calm redness. The LED programme is chosen for your needs.

LED complements microneedling, but temporary redness and a recovery period should still be expected.

Your personalised treatment course

The number and spacing of appointments depend on your starting point, the concerns being treated and how your skin responds.

A course may be recommended for established textural concerns or acne scarring. Appointments are spaced to allow recovery, and progress is reviewed before deciding whether further treatment or maintenance would be helpful.

Your consultation covers the recommended course, appointment duration, costs and homecare before you decide to proceed.

When will you see results?

Once the initial redness has settled, your skin may begin to look fresher and feel smoother. Changes linked to collagen remodelling develop over the following weeks and months.

Results vary. Established scars and deeper lines may need several treatments, and complete scar removal cannot be promised.

What recovery should you expect?

Your skin may look red and feel warm or tight afterwards. Redness commonly lasts up to two days, although recovery can take longer depending on the treatment and your skin’s response.

Temporary dryness, sensitivity or light flaking may also occur. Allow recovery time when planning treatment around work, holidays or important events.

Preparation and aftercare

You will receive instructions covering preparation, cleansing, suitable skincare, sun protection and when to resume makeup, exercise and active products.

Tell us about prescribed medication, recent treatments and any history of skin reactions before your appointment. Follow the aftercare plan provided and contact the clinic if your reaction is unexpected or worsening.

Who is Dermapen 4 microneedling for?

Treatment may be considered for concerns including:

• Uneven or rough skin texture
• The appearance of acne scars
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Visible pores
• Early loss of firmness
• Dull-looking skin
• Selected concerns involving uneven skin tone

Your skin and the type of concern are assessed during consultation. Active breakouts or irritated skin may need to be addressed before microneedling can proceed.

What improvements may you notice?

Depending on your skin and treatment plan, potential improvements include:

• Smoother, more refined skin texture
• Softer-looking fine lines
• Improvement in the appearance of selected acne scars
• Less noticeable pores
• A fresher, more even-looking complexion
• Improvement in the appearance of skin firmness

Results develop progressively and vary from person to person. A course of treatments may be recommended, with progress reviewed along the way.

Is microneedling suitable for your skin?

A consultation is required before treatment.

Please tell us about:

• Active inflamed breakouts, skin infections or cold sores
• Open wounds, sunburn or irritated skin
• A history of keloid scarring or poor wound healing
• Medical conditions, allergies and prescribed medication
• Current or recent isotretinoin use
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Recent peels, laser treatments or other skin procedures

Suitability for Dermalux LED is also assessed separately.

Treatment may need to be adapted, postponed or avoided, or may require advice from your healthcare professional.
